Nursing organizations criticize proposed change to student loan program

Collaboration between ҹɫÍõ³¯ and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing to describe successful academic-practice partnership models is detailed in a January Voice of Nursing Leadership article. Written by authors from ҹɫÍõ³¯ and AACN, the article discusses the playbook jointly released in November 2025 which highlights adaptable models for integrating academic and practice. The authors maintain partnerships centered on competency-based education offer a sustainable and scalable model for preparing more graduates who are prepared to practice. They call on nursing leaders to invest in early alignment, shared accountability and continuous improvement of academic-practice partnerships to contribute to a stronger, more equitable workforce.
